I think the men are handsome. I know the Arabic language is difficult to learn. I believe Arabs live in the desert - so do I! Sansa Morse, Tucson, Arizona
I think views vary depending on who you are talking to in the US. There are definitely people who do not like Arabs because of prejudices they have. Yet, there are also people who want to learn more about the Arab culture. I think one big problem we have here is that people generally don't know the differences between different Arab groups, or even which countries have Arabic populations.
Most American people are ignorant to Egypt and Arab historical backgrounds and only know about things that we hear on the news and see in the news paper. And our news usually broadcasts the negatives, war and poverty. So most Americans have an idea or image of Arabs living in desert land, bombing things and people, because these are the images and ideas that we are fed. In order for some Americans to think differently is to find out information on their own from sources that are not bias towards one side.
